On September 5, 2019 in the main hall of the university held the next meeting in honor of the 28th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the Rector of the University staff and faculties.

Within the meeting, Rector of the University Dr. Prof. Fakerov H.N. has expressed his opening speech, congratulated the participants on the occasion of the Independence Day of the country and stated that thanks to the state independence the Republic of Tajikistan is recognized as an independent subject of international relations. Furthermore, associate professor of the Department of Sociology Khumorov D. has noted a couple of sentences on the subject of "The Independence - a priceless treasure".

It should be noted that the teachers of the University - Abdurahmonov U, Boynazarov E, Mukhtorzoda S, Imayeva M, Sharifova A, Odinabekov Kh. and M. Ashurova have been awarded the certificates of appreciation for the effective scientific and pedagogical activity, while for the University veterans have been paid 200 somoni each, employees of farm and hostel were paid 120 somoni.
