Department of Information and Public Relations

The Department of Information and Public Relations was created as a structural unit of Tajik State University of Commerce by the decision of Academic Council dated October 27, 2022, № 3. The activity of department is based on the Law of Republic Tajikistan «On Education», the Law of Republic Tajikistan «On Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education», «Model Regulations on Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education of Republic Tajikistan», «National Strategy for Development of Education of Republic Tajikistan for the period up to 2030», the Law of Republic Tajikistan «On Advertising», the Law of Republic Tajikistan «On Information», the Law of Republic Tajikistan «On Periodicals and Other Mass Media», university charter, regulation on department and other regulatory legal acts.

The purpose of department is to develop a strategy, plan and implement information and public relations activities through the media in order to form a positive image and public opinion about the activities of university in the country and abroad.

The main tasks of department are:

  • Propaganda and agitation of wise and educational policy of the Founder of National Peace and Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of Republic Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, the Government of Republic Tajikistan, the Tajikmatlubot Union, the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic Tajikistan;
    • Implementation of a unified information policy of university, contributing to formation of a positive image and public opinion about the activities of university in the country and abroad;
    • Development of a strategy for internal and external information policy of university and control over its implementation;
    • Collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of information related to the activities of university and its recognition by the public;
    • Coordinating the activities of university structures on issues of a unified information policy, public relations and corporate culture (image, advertising, exhibition, online publishing, cultural events);
    • Organization of university interaction with mass media (media), executive bodies of state power and local self-government, public and commercial organizations on informing target groups about the activities of university;
    • Organization of monitoring of materials published in media about the activities of university and analysis the image and reputation of university in society;
    • Analysis the competitiveness of educational services of university, comparison of their quality and price with corresponding indicators of competing educational institutions;
    • Forecasting the demand of population for educational services of university based on study of situation and market capacity;
    • Development of an advertising strategy for each specialty and a plan for conducting promotional activities;
    • Development, creation and distribution of information and advertising materials (posters, brochures, catalogs, booklets, leaflets, banners, etc.) and souvenirs of university and its structural divisions;
    • Information support the career guidance policy of university;
    • Ensuring effective two-way communication between university management and government agencies, institutions, media and organizations;
    • Establishment of relevant information links between structures of TSUC and formation of a favorable socio-psychological environment within the university;
    • Conducting a study on recognition of university by society and conducting an analysis of regional and national media in order to improve existing programs;

From November 1, 2022, the head of the department is Mukhitdin Khamitov, candidate of economic sciences.
