DEPARTMENT OF DISTANCE EDUCATION

In pursuance of the instructions and orders of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, on the introduction of a distance learning system in the 2017-2018 academic year, a department of distance education was created in the structure of the university. Today, the university trains undergraduate specialists in the form of distance learning in 15 specialties. In the 2022-2023 academic year, 1295 students study at the department, including from the republics of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan:

123 first-year students;

335 students in the second year;

457 third year students;

380 students in the fourth year.

Currently, the following 15 specialties are taught in the form of distance learning:

  • 250107 - economics and management at the enterprise;
  • 250108 - accounting, analysis and audit;
  • 25010801 - accounting, analysis and audit in banks;
  • 250111 - audit and revision;
  • 260202 - management;
  • 250103 - world economy;
  • 240103 - property rights;
  • 250104 - finance and credit;
  • 25010402 - banking activities;
  • 25010403 - taxes and taxation;
  • 960101 - customs service;
  • 250109 - commodity analysis and verification of goods;
  • 890101 - travel and hospitality;
  • 250112 - economic informatics;
  • 24010205 - customs rights.

The experience of implementing a distance learning system at a university has shown that the form of distance learning has the following advantages:

  • saving time and costs for training;
  • freedom and flexibility of education;
  • acquisition of skills for independent study of science and knowledge;
  • studying subjects individually;
  • an appropriate training schedule;
  • use of modern information and communication technologies;
  • the opportunity to learn without leaving production;
  • wide access to educational and methodical electronic materials;
  • availability of education for various segments of the population;
  • access to electronic resources of domestic and foreign libraries;
  • study in a calm environment;
  • the ability to study anytime, anywhere.

In order to implement the form of distance learning at the required level, the university management purchased and installed the following technical equipment and put it into operation under the educational process management program - the Moodle-3.3 program. The university also created a distance education portal and registered it at https://sdo.tguk.tj. Teachers and students receive a login and password to enter the portal.

The university was the first among the institutions of higher professional education of the republic to develop distance learning plans for practical specialties and successfully passed the examination of the Republican Educational Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, which was approved by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Since January 2023, Zevarsho Vakhidzoda has been working as the head of the distance education department.
