Paving the way to interregional mobility and ensuring relevance,
quality and equity of access

Tajik State University of Commerce (TSUC), on the list of the top universities in the country, is leading the introduction of a credit system in the project, and in Europe's implementation of this tested system. TSUC has taken significant progress in this direction from the 2004-2005 academic year. Later, becoming the first HEI to been awarded the Certificate of International Accreditation (in 2012), and the first holder of European Unions Ph.D. degree among Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Tajikistan.

It is a pleasure that the university always host the seminars, conferences and other scientific and educational events on the international level. In particular, the fourth meeting of Steering Committee Meeting of EU project "PAWER - Paving the way to interregional mobility and ensuring relevance, quality and equity of access "Erasmus+ KA1, which dates from 11th and 12th October with the participation of the representatives of a higher education institutions in UK, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Mongolia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan at TSUC. It should be also noted that the main objective of the project as follows:

 To build a strong international network of partners that have or plan to establish a career centre and to transfer best practices on guidance, counselling and coaching methods and tools.

 To access high quality education and new opportunities for the exchange of teachers and students; Implementation of the Credit System, taking into account national peculiarities.

 To design special seminars with international dimension to help students understand the workplace culture of host nation and empower them with skills and competences to enter the international job market and start building international career.

 To support the modernization, accessibility and internationalisation of higher education in the eligible Partner Countries.

 To create a recognized regional network for internationalisation for good practice transfer and promote people-to-people contacts, intercultural awareness and understanding.

Before the beginning of the meeting PAWER’s colleagues visited the university with interesting photographs and scenes featuring historical places and beautiful scenery of the paradise of the country, as well as bread and confectionery products and a wide range of folk art, which is the product of the staff and students of the university and its lyceums, during the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts held a spectacular view, and made a world impression.

The university faculties and the students of the lyceum read about the poetry of the science, knowledge, and brotherhood of the nations in English, Russian, Tajik, Uzbek, Kazakh and Kyrgyz.

Afterwards, at the Dissertation Hall of the university, the rector of the University, Dr. Prof. Fakertov H.N. has welcomed the guests to Tajikistan, including the Tajik State University of Commerce. Prof. Fakertov H.N. expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan for education, in particular International programs, such as ERASMUS +, are of particular interest and entertainment into one of the most important goals of education. According to Prof. Fakertov H.N. today all HEIs in Tajikistan have entered into the credit system of education.

Within the meeting, Representative Office of the European Union in Tajikistan, Dana Demova, has expressed her speech about the cooperation of higher education institutions in the implementation of international projects, in particular the European project "PAWER" Erasmus + KA1 and KA2 and expressed confidence that these mutually beneficial cooperation will continue to be continued. Later Dr. Massimiliano Dioneszo from the University of L’Aquila has noted on the activities of the project partners, gave detailed information, and emphasized that the cooperation between PCs should be further accelerated. Prof. George D. From the Middlesex University London has noted on the results and proposal for completion of project. Later. Dr. Thomas Monostori from the Szeged University of Hungary has presented on the “Pilot degree courses adaptation and Identification of 5 fields of study and description of profiles, by general and specific Los”. On the second day of conference Krzystof K. From the Wroclaw University of life and Science made presentation on the “Quality Control and Monitoring”, after that Dr. Marco Calabrese from the University L’Aquila, Italy presented paper on the “State of art of project financial management” and “Sustainability of the project”.

It also should be noted, within the meeting representatives from the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialists of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Muhiddinov, the representative of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Shahin Bairamov, reflects his views on improvement of quality education, interregional and inter-regional exchanges equal access to education, especially at the time of globalization.

After the end of the conference, i.e. on the second half of October 12th, PAWER family visited the historic sites and the beautiful city of Dushanbe and its surroundings.
