World Festival of Youth and Students was held on 14-22 October in Sochi, Russian Federation. On the first day an international student carnival parade was held in Moscow and the main events kicked off in the Sochi Olympic Park on 15-22 October. More than 29 thousand people from 180 countries, and including the staff more than 67 thousand people attended the festival.

The delegation headed by Odinazoda Bozorali Nemat, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan attended the festival.  The Tajik State University of Commerce was represented by Abduhalim Khamidov, the head of the Department of Youth Affairs of TSUC.  

The young representatives from Tajikistan actively participated in discussion of key issues such as: Knowledge economy, Global economy, Culture and globalization», Public institutions’ development, Politics and international security and took part in many other cultural events.

At the site of the festival the Tajik delegation organized an exhibition dedicated to the Tajik culture which aroused great interest of large number of participants from different countries.
