Dear colleagues, undergraduate and graduate students!

For every patriot and keepers of traditions, language and rich history of Tajik people alive, the celebration of the independence day of Tajikistan means a lot. Tajikistan is recognized and respected as a sovereign and independent nation participating in world affairs as an equal member of international community.

Tajikistan, as other SSRs of former Soviet Union, achieved its independence easily, but the young republic faced many difficulties and challenges because of the Civil War which broke out right after the collapse of Soviet Union and declaration of independence. Moreover, at that period even the very existence of Tajikistan as an independent republic was in question and uncertain.

Fortunately, the Tajik people under the leadership of a wise and young leader, Emomali Rahmon, has successfully ended the fratricidal war and brought peace to their homeland. Furthermore, the great leader, Emomali Rahmon, through the efforts, high-level of leadership and wisdom saved the Tajiks as an independent nation. 

It is exactly 26 years since Tajikistan obtained its independence and it is regarded as the greatest and the priceless achievement in the history of Tajik people.

Throughout the 26 years of independence the Tajik State University of Commerce has achieved considerable success. And all these achievement are because of the peace and stability in the country and, of course, the hard and diligent work of all the employers of the university.

Dear colleagues, undergraduate and graduate students, as we are celebrating the 26th anniversary of our Republic’s independence, I congratulate all of you with this important day and wish you great achievements and success in your personal and profession lives.
