The Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts Seminar on higher education and vocational education & training was organized by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in close cooperation with the Commission services (in particular DG EAC and DG EMPL) and the European Training Foundation (ETF). The event took place in Istanbul (Turkey), from 10 to 11 March 2015.
The aim of the seminar was to encourage reflection and discussion among Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) from the Partner Countries neighboring the EU on how HE and VET could support economic and social development in the countries concerned and in particular how HE could support VET in addressing some of the socio-economic challenges faced by VET systems in the Partner Countries concerned.
Around 170 participants from 25 Partner Countries attended the event, including HEREs from each country, the coordinators of the National Erasmus+ Offices, experts and representatives from Turkish organisations, as well as experts from EU and Partner Countries.
