According to the approved plan of activities of the rectorate and University Union in collaboration with the Department of physical culture held sporting event "Cup of the trade Union Committee of the University", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the State independence of the Republic of Tajikistan among the teaching staff of the University. The competitions were held in chess, table tennis, volleyball and mini-football, which took place from January 4 to January 17 this year.

The opening ceremony of the sports competitions was held on January 4, 2021 with the participation of K. K. Tolibov, Acting Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work.

At the opening ceremony of the sports competitions, it was noted that the events are held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan not only as a sign of respect and reverence for national holidays and values, but also for the development of sports and public health. To the sound of the national anthem, the team leaders raised the national flag. Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of TSUC Obid Valiev noted that the winners of sports competitions will receive the Trade Union Committee Cup, certificates, prizes and cash rewards.
