The Department for Educational Work of the Tajik State University of Commerce was established in January 2021 on the basis of the Department for Education and Social Development and operates on the basis of the education policy and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, normative legal acts in the field of higher education, the charter of the university, and orders of the Rector of the Tajik State University of Commerce and the regulations of the Department for Educational work.

Promotion of the wise policy of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the field of science, education, upbringing and culture, raising the self-awareness and patriotic pride of young people, their spiritual and moral education, respect for national values, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, political and legal education of young people is an important and priority area of the department for educational work. Every year, the Department of Educational Work engages teachers, staff and students to conduct important state events, historical and political dates and national holidays, such as Sada, the International Holiday of Nowruz and Mehrgon, at a high political and cultural level.

The Department for Educational Work within the framework of the activity plan and the plan for the implementation of the university's activities on important and topical issues of modernity, youth life, science and culture, ethics and spiritual development of society and tourism development organizes scientific and theoretical conferences, round tables, training seminars, webinars, scientific and consulting meetings, competitions, exhibitions and various scientific and intellectual sections.

At the Tajik State University of Commerce, under the leadership of the Department for Educational Work, there is a Public Council of Curators, and at the faculty level there are public organizations working with young people and public councils working with students, which contribute to effective moral and educational work, strengthening curatorial, teaching and student activities.

Since January 2021, the head of the Department for Educational work is the Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor Saifullo Avgonov.
